Tim Palmer

Open to Change

Tim Palmer began working at Cape Assist in 2016, but his journey with the agency began years earlier – as a client. Tim’s hard work and dedication on recovery so impressed the Cape Assist staff that they hired him to help other clients reach their goals.

In his role as CADC Intern, Tim provides substance use counseling for individuals and groups. He performs intakes and assessments and helps with developing the curriculum for both the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Outpatient Program (OP).

Background and Education

Although this is Tim’s first role in the treatment field, his passion to help others speaks loudly. He enjoys working with people as they progress through the stages of treatment and recovery. He is inspired by seeing people improve their lives and is grateful to witness the changes.

If you ask Tim, he will tell you his greatest accomplishment is being a father and having the opportunity to be a good role model for his two sons.

Tim is currently working toward his Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification.
