Dan Borawski

Professional Solution Provider 

As Operations Director since 2017, Daniel Borawski oversees all of Cape Assist’s business administration and operations for efficiency and fiscal responsibility. He also tends to the agency’s financial needs, including bookkeeping and accounting, a role he began at Cape Assist in 2013.  

Daniel initially came to Cape Assist to help with the bookkeeping as a favor to the Executive Director at the time. The retiree intended only to stay a short period, but found he enjoyed the mission and work so much he decided to stay.  

During his time with the agency, Daniel not only has identified multiple cost saving opportunities, but he also was able to improve the agency’s business and operations model. The professional problem-solver was instrumental in securing a new HVAC unit for the agency. He oversaw the cleaning and sanitizing of the ground floor after an unexpected flood caused damage. He also coordinated the expansion of Cape Assist’s digital cloud storage.  

Background and Education 

Most of Daniel’s career has been spent working in finance, accounting, and IT roles within the insurance industry. He left the insurance world in 1990, to found his own successful printer technology company, which he operated until retiring in 2006. Retirement didn’t mean Daniel stopped working. Shortly after relocating to Cape May County with his wife, Daniel began working as a project coordinator for Cape Regional Medical Systems.  

Professionally, Daniel’s passion is trying to set as good an example as he can for those around him. He prides himself on being a total professional. 

Daniel studied Business Administration, Finance, and Economics at Temple University, where he also earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science.  

He stays current on all things tech and holds various IT certifications.  

Daniel is also former military. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO).
