Hello, and Welcome
Chelysmaly Cruz is Cape Assist’s Administrative Assistant and Intake Coordinator, concurrent roles she has held since 2015. She is typically the first person people talk to when they call and the first to greet guests when they visit the agency. Chelysmaly’s naturally warm demeanor puts people at ease, while her welcoming words and encouragement establishes confidence and trust.
In her role as Administrative Assistant, Chelysmaly keeps the front office running like a well-oiled machine. In addition to greeting clients and guests, she manages the distribution of office communications, maintains and updates files, and assists with agency events. As the Intake Coordinator, Chelysmaly handles the scheduling and appointment setting for clients, coordinates insurance/funding verification for new and existing clients, and manages all the paperwork for each case.
Background and Education
Prior to working at Cape Assist, Chelysmaly volunteered to help with the Strengthening Families Program as an aide. It was then she decided to pursue employment with the agency because she was so drawn to the mission and services provided.
Chelysmaly is a NJ State Notary. She is also a certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist and Presumptive Eligibility (PE) Coordinator for NJ FamilyCare.
