Youth Mental Health First Aid Virtual Training
Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is a comprehensive training designed to equip participants with the skills to identify, understand, and respond to mental health and substance use challenges experienced by youth ages 12-18. This evidence-based program covers common signs of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD, as well as symptoms of substance use. Participants will also learn how to effectively provide support during crises, connect youth to appropriate resources, and understand the impacts of trauma, social media, and bullying.

Pre-Work Requirement: 2 hours of online pre-work must be completed prior to the training date.
Eligibility: Participants must reside, work, or volunteer in Cape May County.

What You’ll Learn:
Recognize signs of mental health challenges in youth, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and ADHD.
