Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidence-based training that teaches individuals how to identify, understand, and respond to mental health and substance use challenges. This course provides essential skills to recognize warning signs, offer initial support, and connect individuals to professional care when needed.

CARING INDIVIDUALS

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • To be eligible, participants must reside, work, or volunteer in Cape May County.

  • Registration is required and must be completed at least two days before the training date.

  • For virtual training, participants must use a device with a working camera and microphone and have a stable internet connection.

  • Active participation throughout the training is required.

  • Two hours of online pre-work (sent by the instructor after registration) must be completed before the scheduled training date.

TRAINING DETAILS

  • The training is about 6 hours long, not including the 2 hours of pre-work requirement prior to the training date.

  • Upon successful completion of the training, participants will receive a certificate valid for 3 years from the training date.

  • In-person training is available in addition to virtual training (held via Zoom). Please use the contact button below to request in-person training for your business/organization.
